On May 14, 2008 or May 15, 2008, the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) will perform milling operations on the Steinway Street Bridges over the Grand Central Parkway. This operation will require lane closures on the Steinway Street Bridges. The contractor will close the southbound lanes and maintain a single lane of traffic in each direction in the two northbound lanes of
the Steinway Street Bridges. The schedule for these closures is as follows:

�� Steinway Street northbound and southbound : There will be a single lane open in each
direction from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Community Board No.1 Borough of Queens May 6, 2008

Over the weekend of May 16 and 17, 2008, the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) will perform waterproofing and paving work on the Steinway Street Bridge over the Grand Central Parkway. The contractor will close the southbound lanes while maintaining a single lane of traffic in each direction in the two northbound lanes of the Steinway Street Bridge. To assist in the smooth flow of traffic around the work zone Traffic Enforcement Agents will be stationed along Astoria Boulevard North and Astoria Boulevard South in intersections at the following locations: Steinway Street, 37th Street, and 43rd Street

SCHEDULE FOR CLOSURES
Steinway Street, northbound and southbound: One lane will be open in each direction from Friday at
10:00 PM through Saturday at 6:00 PM.

PARKED VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED
There will be No Parking / Stopping along Steinway Street, approximately 100 feet from Astoria
Boulevard. Vehicles that are parked within the designated zone along Steinway Street during these hours
will be towed to a nearby location. Owners may be summonsed.
